Sphinx hold (prone forearm brace)

  • Duration: 5 min
  • Level: Beginner
  • Goal track: Weight loss

Lie face down on a mat with your legs extended straight behind you and prop yourself up on your forearms, elbows under your shoulders. This is your starting position, with your hips and thighs resting on the mat rather than lifted. Breathe out as you gently brace your middle and press your forearms down to lift your chest slightly taller, keeping your shoulders relaxed away from your ears. Hold the position for 15 to 20 seconds, breathing steadily throughout, then rest. Repeat 2 to 3 times.
